- For top level logistics jobs in shipping companies, you should preferably be a degree or diploma holder in logistics management.

- Scientific acumen and the capability of logical and analytical thinking for technical branches;
- Strong thinking power and computational acumen for deck jobs;
- Team spirit, which is crucial for pursuing a career in the shipping industry;
- An individual should also be a travel and adventure lover and should have independent outlook.

Different types of shipping jobs will have different salary range. However, a fresher can expect to get somewhere between Rs. 5,000 to Rs. 20,000 per month.
